Responsibilities:
This role reports to the Project Accounting Consultant Central & Eastern Europe. It is a hands-on accounting role to support the production of the books and records of the legal entities within the Central & Eastern Region for the Hexagon ALI business in respect of the services activities and associated revenue, costs and balance sheet accounts. The team is based in the Garching by Munich office.

Hexagon’s Asset Lifecycle Intelligence division (Hexagon) is seeking a Project Accountant Analyst.
This role reports to the Project Accounting Consultant Central & Eastern Europe. It is a hands-on accounting role to support the production of the books and records of the legal entities within the Central & Eastern Region for the Hexagon ALI business in respect of the services activities and associated revenue, costs and balance sheet accounts. The team is based in the Garching by Munich office.
Responsibilities
As part of the Central & Eastern region finance team you will be responsible for:
Assisting the Project Accounting Consultant in all aspects of consulting projects activities including but not limited to:- Set of projects in a timely manner.
- Posting of costs to projects via timesheets or invoices as appropriate.
- Revenue recognition on projects where applicable.
- Billing of services projects in a timely manner to customers.
- Closing projects as and when appropriate.
- Work with the project managers and PMO to understand the projects as they move through their lifecycle.
- Monitor backlogs and bookings and aid the reporting of both numbers in the management accounts as appropriate.
- Support the services team with any data requests they may have.
- Where applicable, assist with the production of the reporting packs for the Central Region.
- Reconcile the unbilled and Billings in excess accounts as they relate to services.
- Assist with the forecasting process for services.
- Assist in the updating of the recovery rates for the application engineers.
- Experience working in a finance function of a multinational company would be an advantage.
- The ability to produce information in a clear and concise manner.
- Very good command of spoken and written German (at least C2 level) and English language (business proficiency).
- A confident and concise communicator who has experience of dealing with both finance and non-finance management.
- Able to maintain strong working relations with staff and business partners that may be located outside of Germany.
- Experience of an international business environment – preferably in a software, technology or projects business would be an advantage.

- Experience of using integrated accounting systems required. Proficient in use of excel and powerpoint.
